Remember that tried and tested RnB ‘artist featuring a rapper’ format we all love so much. You know the one where the rapper comes in 2/3rds of the way through, spits a lazy 16 and injects a heap of ‘street credibility’ to a child friendly song filled with increasingly dubious sexual innuendos. They might even appear in the music video?! Well ‘Tink’ craps on that. She seemingly embodies the sounds Rihanna and ASAP Rocky in one (remember that ‘Cockiness’ Remix), ignoring the typical ‘Sing the hook/rap the verse’ method and shape shifting between the sweet singing and dirty flow every other bar. Its sweet schizophrenia.
