With debut single ‘Into The Night’ being released on Transgressive Records recently founded single imprint ParadYse Records and an airing on Steve Lamacq’s 6 Music Show the Hampshire based 3 piece Blaenavon (named after a small welsh mining village) have a reasonable amount going for them.
Their single ‘Into The Night’ claims to be a strong first single from the group with strong guitar hooks and yet darker themes when there needs to be. There are clear influences from Maccabees award winning album ‘Given To The Wild’, this aside the band have a very intriguing sound and are creating a large amount of enthusiasm from punters with their show.
